About one month ago I had the bike back in running order.
Yesterday I took her for the first longer trip. (180 km)
First I thought it is the old petrol.... she was apart for a whole year...
But it seems that the carburettor has to get out again and needs a good cleaning.
She runs fine until we reach about 80 Km/h. Further acceleration leads to coughing.
So, I think the secondary carb doesen´t open smothly or not at all.
Appart from that, I checked all nuts and bolts. especially the ones holding the engine.
The powdercoating settles after a while and I could tighten every nut about one to a half turns on.
The biggest improvement were the higher and stiffer seat and the stiffer forksprings.
The bike handles much better (on the road) and doesn´t dive so much while braking.
The higher seat leads to a better kneeangle and a better ergonomy in all aspects.
At the end of that 180 Km stretch I was feeling one with the bike again.
When I was home again it started to rain heavily.
Cheers Olli
PS: What a nice handsome bike !!!
