I have been using the tenere on gravel roads and a bit of green laning and the front suspension feels quite stiff,it is all stocking changed the oil when I restored it in 2015 it has done very little in that time.
I weigh 70 kg wet through.
Is this normal as I have no reference

It was a stuck float,but I have another problem when I took the carb off one of the intake boots has come away from the metal,so I have ordered two new ones.
Looks like I will have to take the other bike on Sunday.

Yep. Stuck float valve if it was fine before. Bang a new gasket/seal in too when you give it a clean.
Before you strip it, drain it first and blow some cleaner /air through it to see if it sorts itself out. Might be a really quick fix. If she still leaks, strip away.

The bike ran fine when it was restored,so I think I will put some fresh fuel in it and clean the carbs.as you can imagine I spent quite a lot of money on it and tied not to over restore it.

Hi sorry I have not been around for a while.
I have decided to sell my 1vj I restored it in 2015 and it has been in my garage ever since,but am unsure of the values as they seem to be all over the place.frame and swinging arm plus other parts powder coated,tank ,side panels and mud guards ...
