Fuel leak

Hello
It is a long time since I last posted ,I have been using the tenere a lot over the summer after bringing it out of hibernation all has been good until last weekend when I got home from a ride out I went in the house for a coffee and when I put the bike away there was a puddle of petrol under the bike it appear to be running out from the bottom of the carb,question is will it just be a stuck float or do I need to look at other stuff as well.
It does not appear to leak when it is running.

Yep. Stuck float valve if it was fine before. Bang a new gasket/seal in too when you give it a clean.
Before you strip it, drain it first and blow some cleaner /air through it to see if it sorts itself out. Might be a really quick fix. If she still leaks, strip away.

Thanks for the advice I will try the quick fix first.

Ive had a sticky float a couple of times, usually a few taps on the side of the float bowl with a screwdriver handle at the side of the road sorts it out, hasnt happened since.

It was a stuck float,but I have another problem when I took the carb off one of the intake boots has come away from the metal,so I have ordered two new ones.
Looks like I will have to take the other bike on Sunday.
