Sure Karl, you can see the weld on the inside & the carbon build up behind the weld, im going to grind that away on my pipes & run a weld around the outside, makes me wonder why Yamaha never did it like that in the first place. :scratch:

I read on other forums guys removing it, but they said leave some or it will crack, but if you weld the outside for peace of mind cant see why you wouldn't go flush with it, its obvious with the build up of carbon on the back of the weld its no frigging use there, not even for back pressure reasons as id imagine they would do that at the baffles.

Im pretty sure there is no kit (at least there wasn't) you have to get the parts individually Eric.

Just make sure your fillet is small, because the exhaust mounting flange seats here! :sherlock:
