To keep the original brake caliper mounting, I've spaced it out with a piece of stainless. You can see the milled relief to clear the mushroom head bolts, which are also recessed into the disc. When i get a moment I'll turn up a new spacer as I'm packing it over with a washer to line it up perfectly.
This afternoon I span the bike around in my workshop and swapped over the front end. I'd checked for problems on a spare frame.
1/ I had fork stops welded onto the bottom yoke as the TDM set up is different.
2/ the ignition switch needed relieving to clear the lock part on the frame.
3/ installed new head race bearings, TDM and XT are compatible.
