Same here usually ive held back a bit on this bike though. by chance do you know the diameter of the pipe connecting at the bottom of the carbs that connects them together i changed this with some pipe i had lying around that maybe has a smaller inside diameter.

4 or 5 mm, I can check this week. You can get all the pipes from yam, normally, and the clips, but I’ve had one or two shit genuine ones too. I’ve struggled to get good sized replacement fuel pipe aftermarket. It’s almost never right internal and external diameter together.
The cost does build up rebuilding the carb through Yamaha. The choke plunger was £60.
Be careful of the needles, as they aren’t always easy to get. And keep a few float bowl gaskets to hand. As you take one off, it’s distorted by the fuel, (but will go back to size in time, after a clean,) so you can put another on fresh instead. I’m redoing mine soon once she’s charging correctly.

For connecting the primary float bowl to secondary carb, normal 4mm ID fuel line will do, the same stuff as for the breather lines.
Drain screws are available from Yamaha.

Bikes fixed at last.
Had the carbs off the bike this aft and ran through them with aerosol carb cleaner and a tin of air duster to blow out the carb cleaner and any shit left behind,
I also found that my primary carb slide was going way beyond the top of the venturi so i dialed it back with the throttle stop screw so it stopped level with the top of the venturi i then re adjusted the butterfly in the secondary carb to suit the new throttle position and hey presto the bike runs like a dream.
Bikes running like a dream and i couldn't be happier.

Well i dont know about that mate but well happy all the same, could do with a couple of o rings i reckon in the near future especially the one on the main needle nozzle that was flat as a pancake but still holds for now.
