Re: Eric66 34L Resto
The tank had them in it when I got the bike, there is one in each side.Don't know why they are there but it was easier to leave them in during the resto. On a side note when I was riding it to work the other day it felt like it had run out of fuel, so I flipped it over to reserve and it ran normally,on the way home I filled it up but it only took 15 lts which seemed strange. It ran normal for about 5km's then started to starve, even pulling the choke on made no difference so I will pull the carbs off tomorrow and have a look-see.

Re: Eric66 34L Resto
Am glad that I am not the only one with a thumper problem though only one of them is a Tenere. Am envious of Ericls harem of beauties. Once you start its hard to stop so shed space is the limiting factor. The one on the left has armour around the light and dash. I have put the same onto mine. It came off my XT350 which I picked up on an auction of old South Africa National Parks vehicles. The XT350 were used as anti -poaching patrol vehicles and also by the police and the army. The armour was mass produced here and luckily fitted the Tenere. I wonder where Eric's one came from.

Re: Eric66 34L Resto
Judging by the collection I don't think shed space is a problem for Eric

Re: Eric66 34L Resto
Hi Karl,Malkop, things got a bit out of control as I kept finding Tenere's that needed some love. The armour I made myself and is shown somewhere in the posts. I got a big shed 80ft x 30ft.
