ActionMan, that´s the kind of trouble I like. I can see your point though going for the remake of a 660.
Maybe that comes in the future. Thanks for the feedback.
Don´t really know how reliable the numbers are on this site, motorcyclespecs.co.za.
But according to this site the dry weight difference would be about 50 kg between the TT and the 660.
If they are incorrect and it only is 25 kg I would still go for the TT frame despite the more trouble.
The weight is of some importance to me. I can´t lift up the newer XT660Z myself which is a must.
I tried this winter when the snow made me crash. Weight training?
The ultimate adventure build would be a WR450F but I´m not there yet. The TT frame will be a good choice too.
I have not told any details in my plan for #2 and that´s because I don´t have it all in place yet.
But some bike will act as a donor, for it´s engine, rear wheelhub, swinger, battery, electrics, rear brakes,
airhousing, water cooling or not etc. And here I have at least one 660 to pick it from. The alternative is what I
had in mind from the beginning, the 3TB. I can sell one of the 660´s and buy a 3TB when one shows up at a reasonable price.
I guess I have to tear one 660 down start weighing things and measure what´s a fit or not.
