Somewhere in the US the fitting might be available. The problem is every brass fitting I found in the US is standard thread or the wrong metric thread. I could only find M8x1 fittings in Europe. I guess the US's stone age mentality about the metric system is at fault. It could be that the US doesn't have anything sold here that requires such a metric fitting.
Good show on the Harelys. That must have been a fun ride. Vail is an hour & a half from my house in Denver. The general area between my house & Vail is what I am tuning for. Vail is around 8000 feet. There are some roads/trails that get even higher in the area. If you are ever through again, take the detour a little south of I70 & climb Mt Evans. That beast of a mountain has the highest paved road in North America. It gets up to 14,240 feet. Everything slows down up there. Its crazy up to 8000 or so things are pretty much just get a little doggy. Once you get around 12,000 then go higher all sorts of weirdness starts happening. Some bikes will even just stop running.

As for the frozen lake in June, yep that is Colorado for you. June is still late spring in the mountains. Its not till July that things are really thawed out. I lived in a town at 9000+ feet for quite a while. Snow on the surrounding 12,000-13,000 ft peaks would sometimes stay all summer. I would see 32 degrees often early in the mornings in the summer. I have actually witnessed snow falling in all 12 months of the year. There are a few ski resorts that are generally try to stay open into May & June in Colorado on good snow years. There is a pass that is around 12,000 feet close to where I used to live. Some of the locals will go up & ski on the 4th of July as it usually still has snow.
