It was drawn out. Needed a lot of force and it popped right out.

Re: Choke mechanism
First I did, and a lot of it.
Should the "arm-packet" be drawn out or turned out?

Choke mechanism
The choke arm is stuck in "full choke". Can´t press it in at all.
Losened the screw that attach to the carb and can see a little washer attached to the arm down the hole.
Seemes very difficult getting in there and losen that one. How does it work in there, what should move?

Re: XT600E starter issues?
Have you tried running the starter motor not fitted to the bike..... just to discount that its not the starter motor or the circuit at fault??
Haven´t been investigating more about this but will soon.
I told myself to get Another fresh battery I know will be around 12V/8Ah. I hope that is the ...

XT600E starter issues?
Trying to start this bike that was bought as a non runner.
Seller claimed he heard a backfiring sound one morning when trying to start
and after that the bike was dead.
First of all I turned the flywheel bolt anticlockwise to see if it
turned, it did and felt like any other bike. Then put the bike ...

Cadno, head with valves and rocker cover are for sale if you want them, WYSIWYG.
Freight costs are ridiculous huge though.

Re: My 3AJ rebuild
Well, it usually knocks if the valve adjustment is out of range. I don´t think I have to ask if you did one but check it again.
I did a mistake a while ago with this and it was knocking terrible. When I was in the process of doing the valve adjustments I must have been confused turning it clockwise ...

Hard to tell from the Picture, need a Close up but the swinger looks as a 43F in my Eyes.
That would explain it´s not the 34L chain adjustment mechanism?
But nice looking bike you´ve got there.
