Re: 43F XT600 wiring bundle routing behind headlight

IF you can find an OEM service manual for the 43F they all show cable routing.

EDIT: Hang on, this has been asked before HERE now i scanned an XT600 diagram by mistake which means i have it somewhere.

43F XT600 wiring bundle routing behind headlight

Hello all,

Would you guys know the proper routing for the wiring bundle behind the headlight on the 43F XT600?

I tried a different way but don't seem to work out at all and on clymers manual they didn't illustrate about it. Any help would be great thanks.

Jack.

43F OEM rear shock servicing?

Hello all,

The rear shock on my 43F isn't at the best working order so i'm thinking of servicing it with some fresh oil and such since these things are not always on
the maintenance list. Or just replace OEM shock if it's not serviceable? What do you guys think?

Re: XT600 43F max rev?

You mean the top cap on the fuel tank? You reckon since it hasn't got a vent tube maybe it's restricting the fuel flow?

Re: XT600 43F max rev?

Update: replaced the secondary slide...didn't really help at all. As soon as it approaches 4000RPM it starts to rattle. Any ideas?

Re: XT600 43F max rev?

It doesn't sounds like it's running out of fuel but rather struggle to go anymore than 4000RPM when i tried it today...i will replace the diaphragm slide first since it's been 30+ years old with possibly torn rubber and see how it goes.

Re: XT600 43F max rev?

Revs clean and responsive when i blip the throttle.. that's not problem there however i just can't understand why it wouldn't go past 3500-4000RPM. Engine just went through a rebuild so i'm still taking it easy for the initial 1000kms.

XT600 43F max rev?

Hello all,

I've noticed something strange about the rev on my '84 XT600. For some reason i cannot get it to rev anymore then 4500RPM. It didn't really bother me that much since i generally cruise on 100/110km/h at about 3000-3500RPM which it's the fastest speed limit i can do in my area. However on ...

Re: 1982 XT200 bearing noise?

Sounds like something is either worn out or grinding with another part on/behind the primary gear. The best bet would be starting from the simple things by taking the clutch cover off and have a thorough inspection on each part until you find the issue. :thumb:
