My name is Henk and I live in the Netherlands.
I also looked for a Dutch (technical) forum but I ended here.

I have purchased a XT600Z 1VJ just for the fun and it needs a rebuild before I can use it.

So, then the first pictures and can anyone tell me why they used a seperate fullpump (2nd pic), how does the original fullpump look like and where should it be mounted (picture maybe )

It looks like this & goes behind the carb bolted to the frame.



The search on this forum works very well (top right of your screen) just put "fuel pump" in there & pages of info come up.
The !VJ & 3AJ pump are the same & come up for sale on ebay.de all the time.

So, I bought on Ebay a fuel pump now I just need to know where it should be mounted to the frame (picture maybe).

I started disassembling the bike and hope to rebuild it this winter with here and there a little new paint .

Here you go Henk, open the pump up & check inside for dirt/rust from the gas tank before you fit to your bike.

This is a the 3AJ location, im guessing its the same place on a 1VJ?

Good guess, I looked at my bike and found it. Now just waiting until the fuelpump is delivered.

You said "open the pump up & check inside for dirt/rust". Can I safely open the fuelpump without anything jumping out?

And for now the last question: "How does it work?" I mean is it just a valve or is something rotating (pumping) by the vacuum?

Here is Edgars (translated to German) service of a fuel pump, they are very basic things & easy to work on.

He says & this is true,,,

"They all have the same working principle ...has a small electric coil that vibrates a diaphragm
mechanics has a cam that vibrates a diaphragm and the vacuum vibrates the diaphragm by vacuum
everything will be the same"
