My clutch casing was slightly damaged inside when the nut holding the primary drive gear on came loose and forced itself against the casing.
I now have some damage where the oil seal is located.
I still have a depth of 7.5mm for a new oil seal to locate in but there is now a small lip of aluminium to push the oil seal over to fit it in its place.
Does anyone know if this should be there or was caused by the nut pushing on this part of the casing ?.
I could clean this aluminium edge off catefully, or try leaving it, or look for a used casing.
Any help on this would be great.
See in pictures.
Thanks.
