Good day,
My front sprocket nut came off while I was riding recently. I believe the thread of the nut was too stripped that even with the bend over washer, it still slipped off.
I'm getting different info all over the internet about what the pitch size is. AI says it's 20mm - 1.5mm pitch, but to me it seems like 18mm thread, but unsure about the pitch as I don't have the correct tools to measure. With a ruler it looks like 1mm, an engineer said perhaps 1.25mm, but the original thread is stripped.
I ordered a new nut, but don't want to damage it's thread before having the output shaft thread cleaned up and unsure about the hex die nut size to get, as most common is M18 1.5mm and M18 2.5mm, I don't want to do more damage and asked mobile engineers to come out, but they want the specs to have the correct tools on hand.
Please help with pitch size and confirm it's 18mm too?
Thank you
Long time XT rider

You may have to wait till the new one arrives so you can measure it.
