Happy New Year everyone.
I wonder if someone with more electrical experience with me could tell me if a stator and CDI (34L-50 model) would fit my 1986 43F model bike?
I've been offered both in immaculate condition and don't want to pass them up if they're useful.
Thanks
Do 34L stators and CDI fit 43F?

As a parts hoarder i would buy them.
The 43F stator uses the 34L parts numbers
Stator assembly - 34L-81410-51-00
Flywheel - 34L-81450-50-00

I would use a matching stator and CDI pair. The pickup coils are timed with the cdi. Everything should connect if they are a pair including the 43F reg/rect.

Same with the CDI, 43F uses 34L part anyway ... it took no electronic expert to look that up. Bookmark that site guys!

Thanks Andy. What's the difference between the 34L-51 and 34L-50 CDI? (If you know).

Re: Do 34L stators and CDI fit 43F?
No clue, but it may be so subtle as a cange of a connector or wire color. Nothing you would feel when riding I think.
Also, I am running a 3AJ box an a 1VJ stator, and a 1VJ box on a 500 ccm 2RX stator - no difference aside from ... see above.
You can run a 34L box on later models or a 3AJ box on earlier models if you manage to bypass/substitute all the safeguards for electric start and sidestand. The REAL change happened after 1989 when CDI was omitted and TCI introduced. It gets a bit more painful to swap components from there ...

That's interesting Andy, thanks. I have an 1986 43F (European market) over here in France and someone offered me a brand new OEM 34L CDI and stator, so was just checking as they were practically free.
I also have a 1990 3TB so an aware of the TCI issues
