odometer stuck on z at 199999km

I had a battery fail on my z and it messed the odometer reading so its sort of reset itself to 124300mls which is 199999km. Bikes done 42000mls. New battery fitted bike runs as normal but odometer doesn't change. Trip and speedo work Any ideas
