3AJ cylinder and cylinder head swapp for 1VJ engine.

Post by petrolheadparts »

Hi all. :holawave:

I would like to know if the 3AJ cylinder + cylinder head can be completely mounted on the 1VJ engine block? I am aware that there is a difference between the two.

Does anyone here in the group have any experience with this?

Have a nice day.

Engine blocks are different concerning oil lines and gears and starter, but cylinder/head is a straight swap.
3AJ cylinder has better alloy so is recommended over the weaker 1VJ parts.
Seals are identical.

I am running a complete 3AJ engine in my 1VJ, no problems.
