Leak!
Got to work this morning to find the 3AJ had sprung a leak! - not had a good look yet so cannot say where it is coming from, also it was running kind of rough and I think the clutch is also slipping - not good!
It started badly, it tailed off a little in the middle and the less said about the end the better, but apart from that it was excellent.

Are you sure its oil?
My 3aj lays a brown little puddle like that first time i put it on the side stand if it was raining when i put it away, guess its water trapped in the frame somewhere that cant escape untill i've rocked the bike about a bit and then lean it over on the side stand...

Definitely oil - I have only had a quick look but it could be the pressure fitting on the flexible part of the return oil line. When I have time at the weekend I will start it up now I have removed the bash plate and see where it is definitely coming from.
It started badly, it tailed off a little in the middle and the less said about the end the better, but apart from that it was excellent.

The 3AJ I bought last year had a similar leak, and it turned out to be the oil hose from oil tank to engine/oilpump that had gone bad over the years.

Me too Mezo! - didn't have much time to look as the car has it's MOT this week and I concentrated on that but I am about 80% sure it's the oil line.
It started badly, it tailed off a little in the middle and the less said about the end the better, but apart from that it was excellent.

oh my continuing saga with oil leaks!
I also have a leak on the oil line coming from the back of the engine up to the oil cooler, finally got the thing off after removing the exhaust, starter motor etc but I have a question?
Where the line connected to the back of the engine it is held down with two studs but even with these tight the oil line can still move - is this correct or has someone in the past put the wrong oil seal into the end of the oil line?

I took mine off to look for a oil leak last month the rubber seal that was on was nipped, the new ones you get don't seem to me that thick, I bought a box of different sizes of oil seals about 2000 in a box, not one fitted perfect ether too big or too small plenty thick, I cut it with a sharp knife to the size I wanted then super glued the edges back together works a treat, I think there should be two small o- rings as well that fit on the bolts
