WHEELS!

Post by CafeRacerDan »

Hi there,
iv been the proud owner of an XT600Z 1VJ for a little over 4 months now. its nice and torquey and is great for commuting to college.

I have been thinking about getting some supermoto wheels for day to day use to preserve my normal wheels and tyres for future use.
I dont have alot of money and these came up on ebay for an XT600. I was just wondering if anyone knew it they would be a direct swap or if i would have to do anything special to make them fit?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-XT600- ... 2c6c08c6c9

All help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan, So glad to hear that you are so eager to get to your studies.

If you like the low down power of the xt engine, so much, why dont you look at the SRX, it sounds much like your style! Cafe racer, same engine, and Oh so much fun, but simply a different bike to the XT. :ride:

I understand the desire of always lookin to see if the grass is greener elsewhere, and you ought to.
But!
One day in years to come,

I hope you enjoy what ever you do!

PS what are you studying?

haha next thing i know he will be at my house looking at my bike if im not careful!
I sorted a new mudguard with a universal one of eBay attached by a custom made bracket by me and my dad too :)

its cracking fun on the cat and fiddle road (had to pull up and wait for my mate on his gpz500 to catch up LOL

have tried an srx and im a little to big for it standing at 6ft 4!
I chose the XT for one reason and thats the fact i love meaty thumpers (only in bikes though!)

Thanks for all the messages,
Dan
