At least 2 of mine are cracked pretty bad, I'm probably going to re-drill 2 new holes on each side of the crack and try to hold the two halves together. I think the plastic is getting brittle from the years.

Will fit the swing arm today and put the front end off the XT600 and wheels so I can get her outside to start :funkynanna:

Pulled the stator cover off because I could not remember if I had put the o-rings around the oil passage ways, well fuck me look what I found sitting in the fly wheel :bigeek:
Image
Don't know how that got in there  Oh the o-rings where in place  Got the swing arm in and then lifted her of the bench and put the old wheels and front end off the XT on.The engine crane is so useful!
Image
Put on a tank and she fired up 2nd kick and sounds great, had a few oil leaks at the cooler as I used bolts that were too long and bottomed out before sealing :DICKHEAD:

Had a big thunderstorm, these are the size of the hail stones that fell at my brothers place about 10km's away!

The missus is away on a day out and left her car near where these fell, might be up for a new car.

we didn't get anything that bad this week thankfully, just heavy rain and winds.
hope the car survived.

One part I enjoy is lacing up the wheels, this is only the 2nd set I've done but I'm learning all the time. The rear is a piece of cake
Image
But the front always drives me nuts as the spokes must go in a certain order or you can't get them all in, also they have inside and out side spokes so don't mix them up or else :rage: The kids are buying me a proper truing stand for Xmas :nahnah:
Image
Finished off the forks as well today. All new bushes and seals.
Image
Image
Bought a new ignition as well, but the new handle bars I put on are too low and the choke lever hits the tank on full lock so I've got another set the same as I put on the first bike which are real comfy and alot higher.
