Told you it was easy, simply because you can get to it, the side dents are harder. If you wanted to have a go yourself at those dents, there are them glue on dent puller systems now (youtube paintless dent removal) much better than the old type where you screw a screw in & pull away.

You may get lucky & it could just pop back, with using a screw it leaves a high point that also needs welding.

Ive had to research all this as i have five tanks to make good.

The dent besides the fillercap is new to me. Wasn´t that way before. :-(

My tank "guru" told me he uses leavers,wood,alu steel and plastic to reshape back that sheet.He said stamped metal has memory!

Let me know if your tank decals arrive.If you need close up pictures to have exact measurments on where to put those stickers before clear coating.I have seen many tanks with not propper applied decals......

These arrived from Rudi yesterday.

Might need to modify the right hand one to allow the throttle cables to stay in the original position.
Also these, thought they would be made of a hard material to cope with the chain running over them, but they are made of a soft foam with a nylon inner sleeve

Bought 2 of them, stuffed if I know how they will last 10 mins. The bolt I already had.

I was chatting with Just Dan on Skype on this issue when he was laying the tank decals on his 34L,
we agreed the main focus point for getting them right is where ive marked with an arrow.
Do that small one first on the front & work your way back to the larger sticker.



When i was laying my graphics i used that blue masking tape in small bits as my reference points to slide the graphics up to.
Get the measuring done first, use the tape as a guide & the rest is just like transfers you put on models, bit of light soapy water in a squeezey bottle & they float in to position, you need a squeegee to get the air bubbles out after.

Read my 3AJ resto thread on the section graphics, they were bang on to the last millimeter on both sides (identical).
