It's a spray paint job, sandblast, filler, primer and paint, all done by my neighbor (..... cheap .....I'm Dutch )

A looked for powdercoat but that would cost me to much, and the rebuilding should be for the fun so not to expensive.

Than I have a question:
I want to build my own motor-stand but what are the dimensions:

Here's a piccy of stand I have if your looking for something to duplicate,it rotates and has a disc with holes and a pin to lock in required place,and the pin that goes through front engine mount is on an adjustable bracket so it will fit most single cylinder engines.you assemble crank and gear clusters into motor with motor on stand ,fit right hand case etc,then just rotate when you want to put top end on.ive had it about 7 years or so and it's brilliant,if you want some better pictures of it to replicate let us know..

My one (which ive lost) was made with 1" box section in a simple square with 90º angle welded on, it was very handy for holding the engine on its side in a bench vice & also very stable on a bench upright (larger/wider footprint)

Here's a couple that may give more of an idea of engine stand....it's quite versatile so will take lots of different engines...which you will need the as the bike hoarding illness develops quite quickly and before you know it you will be on ten or so...

Stand wouldn't be too dramatic too copy...I mite even make one other Christmas as I've always got bloody engines in bits..

Just for anyone who hasn't done this before.
Steering lock cover - an old wood chisel will usually lever the pin out easily, put it between the boss and the plate to prise. As you have found out a key does make getting the lock out a whole lot easier.

Q: where can I find the chassisnumber and how should it look like?

Very very nice.

The chassis number is on the headstock on the right hand side, it is stamped sideways (vertical) about 2-3" long starting with letters & ending with numbers.

If your engine is original to that frame is will be identical numbers on the RH side engine casing, something like 1VJ 000123

I found the number on the headstock and it starts with 1VJ xxxxxx X (ending with X).

There is also a number on a (frame) sticker looking like 1VJ-14744, what is that?
