53/14 just rubs on the swing arm and chews the tops of the knobs off. Even though there is 5mm static clearance.

Would that be as the tire warms up Fran? (heat expansion) or centrifugal forces as well?

Centrifugal forces. The bike is sooo fast.
10psi also helps.

Hey Nordie I had a 1996 TT350 3 year ago one of my favorite bikes to ride, it had a Staintune pipe on it and a factory Yamaha Australia oil cooler
tucked in behind the R/H air scoop.
I rode the thing everywhere up and down the Hway to work,out in the forestry and out in the hills trying to chase road bikes hahaha "trying"

Was the oil cooler just plumbed in straight between the head and case banjos?


Edit: Looks like it's from below and above the oil filter?
There is a banjo at 10 o'clock but none at the 5 o'clock position...

Yeah Nordie it was drilled straight into the case with both fittings from memory,I may have a better picture somewhere .

Strap on speed sensor and spark plug temp connector that I used on the upper oil banjo.
I think it's the standard normal fork kit.

Dropped the TT off yesterday to finally get the WR muffler and GPR steering damper mounted up.

Then it's just working out how to mount up the XR tank and seat...

The muffler is on and the word is that it "sounds really gay"

He's mounted the steering damper so the adjuster is centered over the down tube rather than the pivot point over the down tube but apart from offending my sense of OCD, it'll work fine. Probably.

He also didn't cover the Vapor when he welded the damper mount to the bar clamps so there's a bit of welding splash to polish out of the speedo screen Sort of matches the brake fluid marks I'd got on it a while ago...

Is this a mate doing the job? if he`s a pro & your paying id think he owes you a new screen.
