So i pulled another caliper apart & found the squeal shim attached to the back of the pad, like so.
See the piston wear mark Andy.
So you would never have sussed that out without the proper pads in your hand.

Well after a frantic rescue saving Danny`s shiny new water pump from being washed down the river i ventured in to Tentere only to find three 'new' rivers running through it.
So i pulled another caliper apart & found the squeal shim attached to the back of the pad, like so.

I post a response yesterday but it seems to have disappeared.
I wonder why there was only one of those shims on the pad. Common sense would have thought two for balance wouldn't you?

To my knoledge all 43F share the same break system and fork bottles as the 34L and 50T.
The front changed for the better fork bottles and break caliper of the 55W and later 2KF.
