Wanted XT600 1VJ right hand petcock

Post by cadno »

Hello all
I have a new 1VJ I'm improving. God knows what the previous owner has done to the right hand petcock but it doesn't operate anymore.
If you have one you're willing to let go or even parts of one I'm interested.
PM please
Regards

OMG make new ones that fit 3AJ models, i'm pretty sure 1VJ taps are the same or very similar. 01Z3314224 is the part code.

Have you opened it up? When I had problems with mine, it was just a matter of cleaning it inside and adding new O-rings. It's a really simple build inside with one conical plastic bit rotating the ON/OFF position.

yes I've taken quite a few Yamaha petcocks apart.
They've butchered the lever until its literally round.
So I'd be needing another but another forum member has pointed me towards KTM parts that should fit.
I've ordered some so I'll be able to report back in the near future.
