I've looked and looked but cant find a manual that shows how to correctly reassemble a kick start assembly shaft that has the automatic decompressor mech.
I have a TT600 that's not been reassembled right, I think i sussed it but not a 100% about number 5 being on the correct spline of item number 1...
I have a violent kick back at the end of the stroke and after testing changing pretty much everything I'd like to see if its the kick that's not timed up right.

Is your ratchet wheel guide, part 11/12/13 in good condition? ie it has the ramp bend on the end of it. This is vital in disengaging the ratchet wheel. If that is broken or bent then you will get violent kickback.

Hi DZI, Thanks for that I'll strip it down and have a good look at it.
I found the other part i wasn't 100% about, It was in a 34k manual but can't see there being much of a difference.
