I was looking at the specs of the 1983 vs the 1988 TT600 recently, and noticed that there's a dry weight increase from 124kg to 138kg
But the only differences I can make out are a front disc brake on the later bike in place of the drum and an alloy sump plate instead of the steel tubes.
Unless there are some major differences in frame construction, and/or a heavier battery, I can't see how there could be a 14kg weight increase.
Has anyone got any info or ideas on that?
Also all other specs identical - were there any improvements over the years? The suspension was slated in reviews of the first edition
