Picked up an old 1989 XT600 yesterday. I am in the US but this was the only forum I could find, however I am English so I think it kinda works.
My first question is, do anyone know the length of the side kickstand for a 1989 XT600?

welcome to forum - great forum - hopefully someone can help for a 1989 but there are a number of models for that year = which one do you have 3AJ , 2kf?
I have measured my 86 1VJ for you and it is from centre of bolt to floor about 13 inches.
If you are questioning the size of the one you have - do allow for suspecion sag etc if you think it is to short = as when loaded thesy sag quite a lot.
