ACCELERATION PROBLEM

Post by cuello3 »

Hi everyone.
My motorcycle (2012 tenere xt660z-7800 km) has a problem after using it for more than 30 minutes. I accelerate and he drowns. The revolutions remain at 1500 and when I try to accelerate. It doesn't speed up. Attached is a video I made so that the problem can be appreciated much more easily.
As you see on the videos. I close and open the main switch and It works normal again for a while until presenting the same problem.
I already changed the injection pump BUT STILL THE PROBLEM.

As it’s after riding a while I’m wondering if there’s a fuel blockage, or fuel breather issue, which eases off after rest? Or is it overheating?
I’d clean out my fuel system first , and check filters. Is there anything that can clog the air flow temporarily?
Can you restart the bike straight away and it’s fine again immediately or does it have to cool down?

The temperature light does not come on. I already checked the pump filter and it's new.
airflow is ok
I turn off the motorcycle and start it in movement and it works about 20 km and returns to the same.

Do these bikes have a throttle position sensor that can be checked electrically and cleaned? This looks and sounds like a fuel delivery issue to me as well.

Also check your plugs and post a picture? If it’s fuel related and you’re running really lean or rich that should show in the color of the plugs.

Is there a vacuum in the tank, perhaps vent is blocked or given your fix with ignition off and back on maybe a solenoid controls that? Loosen the filler cap when you have the problem and see if it makes a difference
