Hello to all, I am in Argentina, spares are difficult to find for my 1vj. I have to replace the piston, part number for new one would be 34L-11636-02.
The 3TB-11636-02 is avaible, but seems to be a bit different, seems to be lighter, skirt is different. Someone did this change? have you notice that the vibrations increase? What about taiwanese pistons? thanks for your coments. Regards

Re: 1VJ Piston
Here’s the part available from fowlersparts, showing it’s the second sized piston. If it’s available here, through the official supply route, then you should be able to get it to you through a dealer. Might take a while with the state of shipping at the mo though.
Item 362541380256 EBay.
It seems to fit a lot of models so you may be right with the 3tb?

Re: 1VJ Piston
Thanks for you comments, let see if I can buy here or bring form the US the one that the manual mentions.
Left side of crank -shaft has the same part number in most of the XT600, right is different..but crank counterweight should be the same in both sides. Also the balancer shaft is the same in all models.......
If I can´t bring the 34l piston (heavier), considering the countershaft and balancer shaft seems to be the same, I will install the 3TB one (lighter), seems that it won´t affect too much the engine vibrations.
