And I think you will find any LED light fitted to a vehicle not specifically designed to use said light will be an MOT failure, even if DOT approved etc.

I'll ask my mate who's an MOT tester.
But, there are ways and means around this.
Might build an MOT able version and a quick change off road version.

No way you can mount the 1VJ sub frame?

Yes, everything is possible, and I do have a couple of the 1VJ subframes
Here is the old Moorespeed 1VJ with the same fork and yoke set up as mine:


But I like the weight reduction and clean tight looks of the small enduro type head lamps.
The other issue is because I'm not using the standard clock and rev counter set up you end up with a huge space where the clocks used to be. The small digital dash I have mounts on the handlebar.
I'll have a look at mocking the standard subframe up against the forks and yokes.

His headers are a work of art & functional, its a shame they was so expensive.

They were a big bore, I can remember David Lambeth telling me that the majority of the time you're better off with standard bore headers. That's why he rated the old Motads.

Went with the retro Elba in the end.
I'll post some photos with the new black fork tubes and Elba headlight fitted.
I'm messing about with electrics at the moment. 34 year old wiring looms are great fun, it's surprising the amount of corrosion when you cut back the wires

They will be vapour blasted before fitting. Basically you press the YZ stem out and press the XT stem in it's place, you can also see we've pinned this critical part, and that judging by the damage on the bearing area some monkey's been in there before.[/url]

What year yz250 front end did you put on? I’ve been reading a lot of good things about Yamaha’s suspension designs for the yz. Can it handle the extra weight of the bigger motor and frame of the 600’s?
