1VJ - Front Fork Lower Bush

Hello,
Fork rebuilt time in my Tenere:
1. I'm not sure if I should change upper bush (34L-23135-00) and lower bush (55W-23171-00). What do you think?




2. I was searching for replacement for lower bush (55W-23171-00) but it seems it doesnt exist :/ Forks are Showa - 41,mm, lower bush size: 39,7 x 41,5 x 14,7 (mm). In this topic Ténéré Mike suggests to look for "The bushes and seals from 84-88 vintage Suzukis with the same fork diameter fit right in. Same with bushes from 83-87 big Hondas. Both Suzuki & Honda carry piles of them.". Does anyone tried this? Will it fit to 1VJ model?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've just tried Fowlers in Bristol which are my go to place for Yamaha parts.

The upper bush is still available with this part number

They don't look too bad though, is there any perceptible movement between tube and leg when assembled without the springs?

Hello,

I found a solution for my 1VJ.
The bushings are standard parts, the manufacturers do not build specific bushing for each models.

I used the bushings from K-tech:
-Upper bush : 41x15x2
-Lower bush : 41.7x15x1

I measured and they have the exact same dimesions as the original ones.
I bought mine for 30€+shipping the 4 bushings.
Pyramid parts also have lots of bushing dimensions in the catalog but not the 41.7x15x1.
