carburettor rebuild kits

I have what I thin k is a 3AJ model, twin headlights etc.
Runs like a bag of spanners. I have not had it lone and was debating selling it at a big loss. But it sits there in my workshop looking all sad.
Starts reluctantly, ticks over eventually, goes fine on an open throttle but on a steady throttle its horrible.
Ive had the carb and airbox cleaned.
I am looking at Ultrasonic cleaning next and may as well get a rebuild kit for the carb while I'm at it.
Ive seen a few advertised on fleabay. Some for the base XT600 have oodles of components, but for the AJ they seem to have a few o rings and gaskets and a few other bits. Confused.
Can anybody recommend a kit that will at least make a start?

There are also air cut off valve kits. Best do the whole caboodle???

I have not seen a comprehensive kit for models before 90, you may have to use somewhere like Kedo or Yamaha direct. I dont know if the later ones are compatible

Cheers Jibber, that is a start I figured that there must be a specialist in these old nails somewhere in germany.
Question the kit I linked to; do I need two of these one for each carb'?

Ideally clean them complete first in ultrasonic bath, then strip them right down and vapour blast all the alloy bits. Then wash them very thoroughly in water and put the alloy bits back in the ultrasonic bath. It'll shock you how much of the blast media is still in there.
Put fresh cleaning solution back in the ultrasonic bath and clean all the small bits like jets, needles and nozzles.
Then try your very best to remember where it all came from or have a spare set of carbs to copy.
You can get the gaskets and most bits from Fowlers but not the 150 jet. Allens will match stuff like this if you send it to them in the post.
