hi, anybody got a photo of where the coil should sit on the frame. Bought a basket case without one soI bought an aftermarket one from Brooks barn and I'm not sure it's correct.
Any info much appreciated

Re: tenere 1VJ correct coil location
The coil I've bought has a two bolt mount that doesn't seem to match any mounting on the frame.
Is the coil rubber mounted as my frame has a tang for a rubber in that location very similar to the battery box relay mount tangs.
Thanks

have you found your answer - send a picture of it - not sure which one you have so far doesn't sound like early xt600.

Re: tenere 1VJ correct coil location
Sounds like you have the wrong coil, you have the one that has a bar going through the coil with bolt holes on either end. EBay listing have wrong coils listed in some instances but you can tell by the pictures shown on this thread as to whether you have right coil or not.cadno wrote: Mon Apr 29, 2019 5:30 pm The coil I've bought has a two bolt mount that doesn't seem to match any mounting on the frame.
