I have been watching S10's on UK ebay and what look to be fairly presentable units have been going for 500-800 or thereabouts.
I would grab the best cheapie I could and use what you have as a donor. Then flog the remainder at project end.
A lot cheaper in the long run.
I know exactly what you mean Dave.... I've been bidding on S10's for 2 or 3 months now for that very reason, but they seem to be growing in popularity, the prices have gone mental.... so I'll keep looking & start with this one...The main thing is I've got a frame, logbook & registration number.... once I get the frame coated, its just adding bits to it after that..

Oh you Lucky...Lucky Bastard!!!
If the other two rebuild are anything to go by, then this is going to be brilliant!!
I didnt know a thing at all about the S10 when i bought mine, and am still a long way off from knowing enough about it. It has been an awesome bike so far and i am sure you are going to be very happy with yours!!!

Re: Geoff's Super Tenere rebuild...
This bike should be on the tip.....
Hacksawed through the exhaust mounts cos they were seized & the bloody whole thing fell off....the headers were just rust...

The bloody nuts are totally seized here.... gonna wait till I get the head off...

God knows what happened to this swinging arm to get bent like this...

This engine mounting bolt is a bastard....

And so are these two bolts...

The socket slipped off that one on the bottom of the shock abs, bloody hurt it did.... bastard

Swollen hand....

Re: Geoff's Super Tenere rebuild...
I have seen motorbikes being rescued from the bottom of a harbour after sitting down there for some months or years and they looked pretty much the same (damn drunken tourists...
)
I know it rains a lot in England, but salty and so much to do that to a bike??
