This came up through google while I was investigating front fork upgrades for my 88 3AJ other than the XTZ750 swap. (Having no luck find the parts for it)
So those original pictures, have early 90's TT600s forks fitted? How was the fitment?

If it doesn't involve scotch, bikes or progressive metal then you're doing something wrong.

I look here rarely :-(
This suspension in blue 3AJ. Best way to check if there is chance to fit suspension from one bike to another is to check size of bearings in both bikes.
If this dimensions are the same one more thing is to check high of frame head.
For example there is simple way to fit USD suspension from YZF/WR to TTR frame without any modifications.
In this blue 3AJ on the rear was mount complete damper from TTS. This motorbike doesnt exists now, we are going to use this suspension in our another project :-)

Re: 3AJ on TT600S suspension
I have a YZ250 front end to fit to my newly acquired 1VJ.
I bought a YZ250 2001 front end and pushed out the original steering stem and pressed in the steering stem from a 34L. You can then keep the original bearing sizes from the XT.
I really fancy fitting a MX/Enduro alloy swing arm as well, instead of the standard steel swinger.
Any suggestions?

Hi this is a while ago but just checking whether you swap out rear swingers for a lighter alloy one?
