I have a off road buggythat yesterday i bought a xtz660 engine for. the engine and loom was already stripped from the bike. first this morning i tried to get it to go and it wouldnt so i checked the spark. It was sparking so i put the plug back in and assumed it was a fuel issue. After spraying some fuel in the carb it still woulnt go so i checked the plug again and it wasnt sparking. this happened twice. im not sure i have it earthed correctly because i have a small earth connector on the main earth to the battery and aint sure which earth wire should be connected?! Does the coil need to be earthed as i have had a guy say yes and a guy say no?! I fear a broken wire in the loom as i moved it inbetween it sparking. Is anyone able to tell me which wires i can cut out of the loom to only leave the ignition wiring as i dont need the lighting part of it and would make it easier to trace a problem with whats left as im not confident of following the diagram and cutting the loom without any guidance, Any help appreciated
