I stopped in to see Matt at Renmark boats and Bikes. He is passionate about his bikes and knows his stuff. Did some more diagnosis and adjustments and she is running better, enough to get me thought the high country.

Damned chain guard come loose again, this will be third time now, even with lock tight on bolts.
Otherwise alls good.
Thanks

Thanks for images, we used them when we had the carb out off bike at Renmark.

I was hoping for snow so I can get some photos. I'm pretty well prepped to camp in the cold as well, we'll see how it is today

Found out why my fairing bolts kept coming loose, the two main bolts that hold the instrument cluster had come loose, luckily they are accessible.

I'm finding the suspension a short coming in the rough stuff, I ended up taking a long time to get through some of high country stuff as i did not want I to damaging bike or wear myself out.

I'm so glad they have a two chamber air box with two filters.
Thanks

Damo had a fall….

Quote from advridermag forum.

"One of my goals was to camp at Barrington Tops and to possible see some snow. I got to camp with a wonderful bunch of people and on Sat morning we got a dusting of snow.
But it come at a price as I hit a roo just on sunset and not far from camp. A young fellow and his dad got me and bike to camp for night. Singleton MC collected bike next day and ranger brought me down to scone hospital. Hope to fly home this evening or Monday morning.
Broken bone in hand and ankle. All in all I'm pretty damned lucky when you see the bike."

Thanks Zonda, I'm on my way back to Sydney with my sister to fly out in morning.
The roo come straight out like a missile at the very front of my wheel, I knew it was not going to be good, heavy landing on road clad in rail way ballast so I consider myself lucky.
I was even luckier to have a wonderful bunch of campers look after me for the night.
Bike was still rideable thanks to the bark busters.
Amazingly the twin headlights survived.
Dispute missing about three days track, I'm pretty happy with the two week holiday ride. I'll post up more pics of camera when home.
Thanks
