Ignition pickup colours for 3AJ

Need help please; the big 3AJ wiring diagram has strange wire colours between source coil and CDI. Other sites give conflicting information. I need the correct colours of low and high speed as well as common wires out of stator and out of CDI if they change please.

Pete,

I looked through my different photos and found two of them that could help I think

Stator :


CDI cables :


If you look closely you will see that :
- blue cable on stator side connects to red-white cable on CDI side (it's a 36° advance pickup)
- yellow-black cable on stator side connects to green cable on CDI side (it's a common ground for 12° et 36° pickups)
- green cable on stator side connects to white-green cable on CDI side (it's a 12° advance pickup)

Once you did that it is easier for the other cables :

- red connects to red (it's charging coil from the stator)
- brown connects to brown
and that's it for the connections between stator and CDI

Please check it again with the pictures above. The description, I did it based on those pictures. I don't have access to my bike which is left for winter storage now
Please note that it applies to the 3AJ model - I don't know if it is the same for other models.
