So I have to cut where I can, but the heart, the engine, I try to do well, so I will not have to split it again after a short time. So it will become a ridable bike but not cosmetically the best. So wheels I will just take the rust of the spokes and paint them, and so on......A good thing is I have new tires, as the Michelin Siracs on the rims, even have some tread left have rock hard rubber....
Anyway the frame today did move from the corner to the main spot.
Did remind me of some parts I do need to find, like a new set of foot pegs
Suggestions on what pegs can be used are welcome. And sure looking for more off road capable onec that the stock onec.
You can't beat the stainless Steel ones shown in the vendors area. Bosley1980 makes them. I have 2 sets and they are fantastic.
A update. Got a nice condission head in the mail the other day, well cosmetally not so good looking, as painted white and chipping, but the essential parts are in good nic. Its from a 2KF.
Wow Keny. That's a hell of a project. Once I figure out how to upload pics onto this forum which is as old in technology as my 34l I'll show you mine. I guess Mezo would call my work tinkering rather than restoring so will do so in the 34l section. But I am lucky to have enjoyed riding it from the day I got it a few months back.
Ok fellows, like to wish you a Happy New Year 2016!
I just have the money to order what I need to get the bike together, or that´s what did belive.....before I took off the old tires to mount the new once
My wheels have same that did take Lemmy out, so I´m in for a other set of good wheels or new rims.....ok I keep saveing....I know I been warned

I have come to the point where I wounder if I shold stop, part it out and buy a other bike, or keep this as spare ond buy a other 3AJ and hopfully a better one.... Sold my old 2 stroke RG250 that I didn´t ride for years after a deer hit so I have some cash to spare. Biggest issue here is time, I dont have time/its limited how much to be in the garage and work on bikes whit a family that involve 2 spechal demand kids and a wife whit depression.... I have found 2 bikes that fit both ideas. Other is a other 1990 3AJ that is painted flat black...
was a bit different under the black rubber coat
would fit the tank as panels from my current garage thropy on it in that case...and enjoy it.
and the other is a 1992 Tenere 3YF
choices, choices..........

As you can read in a other topic, I got that second Tenere 3AJ.
It did run OK, but had a lot fo vibrations! reason seem to be a bent crank, the fly wheel did jump um and down about 2-3mm in a turn, as the center of crank to...So I decided to use the bottom of first engien anyway and build a engine of it using the best parts to get a runner, then By time rebuild the second engine (and find a good crank) . So yesterday I got the cam chain changed as the second engine top off, I need the cylinder "spechal" nuts of it, and will check cylinder as head to use the best parts. Will work on a other day, but so long this far.
