Hard to value a rim until you see the inside, many have the cancer eating them away & you only find it when you remove the tire.

The last two rear wheels i have purchased on ebay (complete with axle, brakes, spacers & tire) "ready to bolt in" was $50 or in euro 35, :confetti: Cheap cheap.

Only pay top :mike: if you are certain the rim is cancer free, buying them blind they need to be cheap just in case they are useless.

I think I will pass the wheels, seller is not intrested in taking off the tires, as soon I asked for it he says there is a nother intrested to buy them a easyer way (I read it as whitout him taking the tires off), and he asks high money for the rims! He also asks 15€ for the protector plate for the rear calipper. Sounds like he is just a :DICKHEAD:

You don't have to take the tire off, or even the wheels.

Just let the air out, and squeeze the tire to one side and inspect the rim. You should also lift the rubber tape that covers the spoke nipples.

Too easy..... :star:
"Don't worry," he said, "things could be worse ........."
So I stopped worrying and lo and behold, things did get worse!

Well, at current state the Tenere is a sad sign, sitting in a corner at my garage whitout a engine. Will split engein completly to not have that time that I just get it running and then have something that fails. Still waithing for the head also, might not have been good to tell the shop guy I have not that mutch hurry..... Well I don´t actually, so I guess this will be a long build..............

An uppdate guys....
I did buy a second hand head that was taken from a running bike the day before.
Image
Image
Image
Have not seen it in person yet, as a Dutch friend did buy it for me and will ship it whit a pair of passenger foot hangers to me later this week.
The head is complet whit the top cap as cam, 110€, not bad I think.

Aslo did order some small stuff, odo cable, oil filter, sparkplug, Front M/C rebuild kit, front inner tube, carb rebuild kit.... from a local shop as most was on sale. Next mount will put in a BIG order to KEDO to get the missing bits and start the rebuild, have put up a target to ride this bike next summer.....hopfully will.

I dream of some gold rims, and would like to change the rear fender to a 2KF/NF type, as i think it looks much better, but might be future mods, lets get it to a runner first.

Even I had hope to do a full rebuild, well I now notice I have to cut corners if I want the bike to be a runner next summer. Not just time is a issue, money will also be. So I have to cut where I can, but the heart, the engine, I try to do well, so I will not have to split it again after a short time. So it will become a ridable bike but not cosmetically the best. So wheels I will just take the rust of the spokes and paint them, and so on......A good thing is I have new tires, as the Michelin Siracs on the rims, even have some tread left have rock hard rubber....
Anyway the frame today did move from the corner to the main spot.
Image
Did remind me of some parts I do need to find, like a new set of foot pegs
Image
Suggestions on what pegs can be used are welcome. And sure looking for more off road capable onec that the stock onec.
