Head bolts not holding!

What is the best method to fix headbolts that failed? I had helicoils put in in my 34L twice. First ones did not hold...too short apparently, 2nd time round fitted longer ones and used threaded bolts to also tighten from the top, but seems they also failed now. Getting pretty tired of this problem!!

Hi Maximus, my 1st 34L did the same thing so I put 2 helicoils in the same hole,has survived about 10 000k's so far. Last week I fied up number 2 34L and noticed she was popping,also has a blown gasket.Have not pulled her down yet to see what caused it. I am going to check to see if I can fit larger and longer bolts.

Investigate drilling oversize and using 9mm or 10mm bolts (with or without re-coils).
If that is not possible then the only other option is to replace the cylinder.

Thanx for the advice guys. I just had a look at the bike and it seems the nut between the two header pipes was loose again!! When I first got the bike this nut was also lying loose on the bashplate! This might be my prob this time.....hopefully.

Would something like locktite keep this nut from vibrating loose again??
