Trials bikes are a bit of a weakness with me. The first bike I bought way back in 1975 was a shiny new bright green and white 1975 Kawasaki KT250A. It is a real wreck at present after a hard life pulling a trials sidecar for many years, and is tucked away in the back of the shed awaiting restoration. Along with the KT250 and the TL250 in the picture, there are 3 x TL125 Hondas, a 1975 Yamaha TY250B that was my older brothers, a 1979 Montesa Cota 247 that I am rebuilding, the 1979 Bultaco Sherpa 350 that my parents gave to me for my 21st birthday, and the 1978 Bultaco Sherpa 350 sidecar that I still compete on in classic sidecar trials at least once a year if my daughter will passenger for me. Unfortunately the '79 Sherpa has been in pieces in boxes for the past 20 years waiting for me to restore it to its former glory, it had a very hard life pulling a trials sidecar back in the day and was pensioned off / stripped down so it took up less space.
As it is not a Hijack to add a tangent into a thread you start, here are a couple of old pictures of the KT250 being put through some abuse in the early 1980's.
A not so successful attempt at the VW,
A much better attempt.
