Just got Dynojet stage 2 kit and will have some fun with carbs at the weekend xD
Steps:
- drill main jet at cv carb with #50
- replace needle at cv carb
- remove snorkel
- feel the power of million exploding suns, etc xD

Hello Sirs,
seems like I am a new owner of this topic. I've bought this motorcycle from Qwertylolman, which I am sending my kudos to.

I've got this bike as a non-runner in late February. The wiring loom was apart from the bike and incomplete, the fork was 45 mm USD Showa from some ancient CR500, the front brake was absent, and the rear wheel rim was bent out of shape. Until now the bike is yet far from being ready to hit the road as it's Tenere glory deserves, but I've put my first 200 meters on it, and have to admit, things are slowly getting better.

This is how it was looking at the day of purchase (plus a few boxes of parts):
Image

Since that time:
I have acquired some brand new aftermarket regulator-rectifier from Poland, and a new turn signal relay for old Lada cars
Got the wiring loom assembled and put on the motorcycle in place
Replaced the fuel tank cap with a new one from Vicma
Reassembled the rear wheel with yellow gold DID rim from Honda Transalp with the new spokes (aftermarket)
Replaced the front forks with White Power WP4357 USD from 2001 KTM LC4 640-E
Got a brand new Brembo brake caliper for 300mm brake rotor
Got a front wheel from Honda Transalp with the gold rim to match rear, rebuilt with the new spokes (aftermarket)
Got a 296mm brake rotor from Honda VT750C Shadow to fit the brake caliper
Put a new Varta AGM battery and new iridium spark plug

The motorcycle now looks like this:
Image
(sorry for the quality of the pics, it's just my old shitty phone camera)

Now I am in a process of rebuilding carbs, the trickiest part I guess. The bike was sitting for a two years without a move, so the carbs look quite bad. The starting enricher valve was stuck, and the CV float bowl is full of rust and shitty mud. Despite all of that, it managed to fire with the new spark plug and it was even possible to have a short ride at my garage, although it doesn't want to idle under 2000 rpm, firing loudly and stalling (unpredictably, with a loud cling), like there's an air leak somewhere.
I hope to finish this 'carb' stage of project until the end of year, this is quite a challenge for me, as the parts are expensive for my budget, the shipping is slow, and the whole fuel system is modded by the previous owner - it has cool exhaust with Akrapovic logo (which I doubt it really is, it's more likely to be a cheap chinese copy) and probably Dynojet-stage-2 (whatever that means) modded CV carb, with pilot jet drilled to unknown size (it meant to be 50 I guess, but what's the tolerance of a drill(er)?). I think it's a good idea to replace the drilled jet with #50 OEM Yamaha jet, that should be much more accurate. The main jet is seem to be stock 130, and the air filter is stock too.
Fine tuning will be complicated and time-consuming without a Dyno stand or AFR analyzer, but there's nothing to do with it for now. Maybe I'll be able to afford Innovate kit someday, it definitely worth its money, but it's not on my radars yet.
The last part will be plastic fairing, because it is totally absent besides the rear side panels, and I know it is damn expensive and prone to crack (obviously because of age). Not decided yet what to do with it, but my desire is to keep fairing as close to original as possible.
Many thanks for those who managed to read to this point. Will keep posting with the progress. Cheers!
