yesterday i took a video to understand what's the noise on my 34l.
i know that the timing chain need to be replaced and i heard the "clank" , but also i heard a metallic noise like valves clearance also if the values are right.
maybe the length of the chain is too much inconstantly to ensure even the right clearance , but i mean do you hear also a piston noise?

yes Mezo that's the "clank" of the timing chain , i've got only 2 thoot of the tensioner and when you ride the chain make noise.Mezo wrote:At 15 seconds i hear a problem?![]()
Mezo.
i mean the metallic tick tick tick , i hope is only valve clearance and not the piston rod

Yes as you walk around the back i hear a tick tick, does sound like tappet (valve clearance) does it go away as the engine warms up?
Oil level is good? and flowing OK? if you remove the valve inspection cover when running it should spray out on to the floor.

Re: worst noise on the head
yes , with warming up the noise il less .
the oil level is ok , i'll try the flux , but 350 km ago when i change the oil i open the filter cap nut and the oil cames out
probably is just the clearance and i hate any noise on my bike

So as it gets hotter it expands the valve (makes it longer) closing the gap.ex_dido wrote:yes , with warming up the noise il less .
