Alright ...the xt600 will get the Dyno treatment sometime this week. Weekends suck with nothing to ride. I'll post results soon after the test ride. Mike

Just rode the bike back from the dyno shop, the stumble is gone A full shake down run this weekend. They did recommend making an air box , and that the foam filters on there now have a tendency to collapse upon WOT. Thus starving the air supply. This little project is something I am looking forward to. Mike

Here we are the bike is steadily evolving. Carbs (cr33 Keihin) dyno'd. Starving for air, only thing that worked was the velocity stacks installed with filter material zip tied to the stacks. Anything else tried starved (everything was tried) the air to gas ratio. Keihin Cr 31 probably would od worked better for a stock motor.But now we have a platform for further upgrades to the top end (cam ,porting ,hi-compression piston ,new cdi...etc.) But don't get me wrong it rolls really nice now, but my main jet is at the very lowest setting. Riding tomorrow, definitely going to have fun. Mike

Going to plan B... ordered the smaller carbs , Keihin cr31 with the prefilters and stainless screen to fit the velocity stacks. Back ordered from pjmotorsports@frontier.com , I'm thinking this will put a lid on the money pit...or maybe not

Thanks Mezo, waiting on the Mechanics leak test, if the motor is tight , I'll just ride it and rebuild the spare motor into a monster regards mike
