Replacement hand guards

Post by metropolis2k »

Hello chaps, anyone know if these might fit?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-HAND-G ... 5711252%26

They sort of have that classic look and are cheap so I don't mind if they get broken (or if I try to paint them and ruin them slywink: )

Well it doesn't say XT600 anywhere Tom :sherlock:

Rudi has OEM Yamaha ones from a later bike & with some slight mod can be made to fit (apparently)

At least these look right & have YAMAHA embossed on them, :rtfi:

He is giving 15% off this month to members, see here ask him if they fit.

Cheers Mezo, I'll take a look. Still tempted by the cheapo ones even if I use them as a 'working' pair. Thinking of doing the same with a front mudguard so I don't get upset if it gets a whack.

Put cheapo on the G$ & go with OEM on the Ten.

Ive been looking a good used set of original ones for ages Tom but no luck yet.

Can't say for certain but I got some that looked similar and had to hack the right one about quite a lot but they did go on and don't look too bad.

Nothing' s cheap on the GS! And the Tenere is much easier to pick up!

Thanks Butcherbird, I'm tempted to give them a go.

And I've seen the price of those side panels for a 34L! Can it be called a T£N£R£?

Side PANEL you mean Tom, the left side is long obsolete now only the right is still available. :sadnanna:

 True!

Imagine my surprise when I pulled off the non-matching side panel on my 55W the other day, read the part number of the back and realised it's a blank original part :funkynanna:
