Engine Gasket kit (where and what kit?)

Post by Troxx »

Finally some time to do some repair. The engine is leaking oil, so instead of buying the gaskets one by one I thought an gasket kit would be a good idea, but I don't know witch set is correct:
Item nr 91135 from Kedo (seems to be correct).
Same kit on ebay?

Some of you (all) have probably done all the gasket changes so this forum is likely to come up with the best answer :-)

Thanks Eric, I think I'll go for parts from Kedo all the way. This Kedo kit is the correct one?

I've used some Athena engine parts and gaskets before and have found them very good and probably no more expensive than some alternative gaskets that appear to be made of compressed camel shit...

Engine Gasket kit (where and what kit?)

I bought an Athena kit, and while I only used two of the gaskets, they seemed to work fine.

I have used the old way for gaskets on side covers for many years now and have saved time and money this way. The sheets of (fiber/paper) gasket can be found in a number of grades (in the UK at least) in local car part distributors. High preasure areas such as cylinder heads require the best one can obtain, in my humble opinion.
I just typed in "gasket paper" on my search engine, look here
