I have 3 yzs that have tank decals with perforations in and are relatively thick vinyl,none of them have lifted,bubbled or fallen off,I've put some cheaper thinner non perforated decals on the last yz I'm doing,that's got no fuel in the tank and they have started bubbling already from residue of fuel vapour in tank..one of the yzs with the perforated decals on I've ridden the arse of it at motocross and enduro without a problem with decals.
Mxm in the uk done the ones that have not lifted or fell off..

Yep plastic tanks leech the vapor & lift the stickers & thats it, nothing can be done as far as i know, perforated stickers work but don't look as nice.
The guy on ebay should not be allowed to post that wording though.

There is an epoxy paint for nylon tanks!Inside treatment.No more bubbles,fumes etc.

Years ago I met a speacalist (alchemist) in glues, sealants and a like, he very kindly made up for spec to the cannoe I built, It allowed for flexing along the length of the cannoe, my point is that the right person should be able to make up to your requirements.

I have considered sealing a tank and painting in a desperate attempt to avoid hours of sanding and brain damage but the sealant that I've used on metal road bike tanks says not suitable for plastic?
I know someone that has sealed quite a few plastic tanks but he's very cagey about what he uses..

Really nice one Fred (those coolcat indicators on the handlebars is a bit oddball but not to vissible)
