got some important bits for the army bike, mike had been looking for these for a fair while and



a pair of army issue leather bags and another rack with the extra strengthening brackets



it's good to have these in the shed, i've since gave them a liberal coating of armor all

plastics
i've been thinking about what to do about my plastics the thought of preparing them for painting and buying the right primer/undercoat ect
so i bought 10sqft of matte black vinyl wrap
first some repairs, plastic welded a crack and sand all the rough bits

you can still see some of the scratches through the vinyl but so far happy with the look of it

That looks freaking awesome Dan. What happens to the excess plastic underneath the mudguard? Does that shit scratch easily?
I must admit I was not a big fan of painting plastic, I have seen some really bad jobs, but the paint they have these days is pretty good stuff.

i finally got a bit of time so i had a go at doing some more vinyl wrap
started with this sanded it back and gave it a good wash

had to do it in 2 parts

like a brand new 1

the excess plastic is heated and stretched and folded around the corners and cut off the excess and use the stanley knife to cut the top off the folds

well i have to thank my mate shane he has given me a pair of emulators
so i'm going to have a go at fitting these to the forks, i printed out some instructions at work today



all i got to do is decide which bike to use them in
there's not much to them, i'd like to get a small metal lathe and have a go at making some up

Ideal would be one of these mini lathe/mill combo jobbies fresh outa china, they go for around $1500 for a half decent & upwards for better features.
Then you would need a 360° vice to mill them slots in there, ive seen them sell secondhand on fleabay for around $800 (the combo`s im talking about).
